Bot Building Laws

Ok, while there's no real "laws" these are very helpful suggestions to bot building; you can even apply it to other craft-making activities. I just thought of ones off the top of my head, so lemme know if you have more

  • Hot glue is your friend! Hot glue can be undone easier than epoxy, and dries quickly.
  • Too much is better than not enough. If you need to cut something, or drill something, make sure you do it slightly smaller THEN enlarge it as needed. Remember, you can always take more away, but you can't put it back!
  • Dry fit! Dry fit! Dry fit! I did not do this, but I will from now on. Drill stuff and stick it in to test THEN paint and glue.
  • Unless its NEEDED (like a snack dispenser, florlalier, pin, etc), do not use the original part on the bot. One exception: if you're making KTMA bots. They used the originals on the KTMA bots. If you have originals, make casts and use them. Not only will you not wreck a possibly rare item, but you can use it again! Plus using the copy is ACCURATE, as BBI used copies of mostly everything.
  • "If its dry, its not!" Well ok this needs explaining: If something looks like it dried quicker than normal, chances are: IT'S STILL WET!
